Why would you have to install Windows?

Because it comes with OSX, it was tongue in cheek, as you know.
If I had a spare K to throw on one I'd have it with windows though, really nice bits of kit.

Now that Apple switched to the x86 architecture (ie - same as a PC) they are just as open to malware and viruses as a PC (reason why I still think Apple should have stayed with IBM and the PowerPC). In fact OSX is less secure than Windows with more security holes being found quicker in hacking/cracking competitions than Windows/Linux. Plus Microsoft tends to release patches quicker for Windows than Apple do with OSX.
By the way I’m NOT saying Windows is better in anyway, I use both OS's daily and both OS's have their issues.

MAC Wins.
I've had my one over a year and is still running as fast as day 1. Every windows PC I've had slows down after a couple of months.

John, you are a clown.
Windows Updates alone will slow the machine down over time.

Yes mate I'm the clown, windows updates just randomly slow the computer down, that must be why, since XP, I've stopped formatting my computer every few months.

i have a 27" iMac, it's porn.
OSX is different to windows, somethings you have to do the long way round where they are a couple of clicks on windows, other things make windows look shit, slow and dated to fuck.

Lack of automator - Plenty of macro apps for Windows that will do the same. Could always install AutoIt if you fancy programming the actions.
What's wrong with the windows search? It does the same as finder, ie: search absolutely everything (apart from system files).
The only thing i really really like with OSX is the dock bar, but you can get docks bars (ie: Rocketdock) for windows. Unless you need to use specific apps like protools where there is an advantage in using the OSX version, both OS's are pretty much the same for day to day use.

As in the start button menu, which has been on windows for the last 15 years.
Yes there alternatives to automator but not without downloading something first.
Spotlight is nistant at finding anything on the computer + built in calculator and dictionary

So what's wrong with the Start button? It's the same as the Apple icon, except you can access programs through it on OSX. Add a dock bar to Windows and it's the same as OSX.
Windows search is pretty much instant if you indexing on and it isn't difficult to pin the calculator to the task bar or start menu if you need access to it all the time. Dictionary is a good point though, but there is a Windows dictionary widget.
To be honest Russ, i can't see what you're getting at as these aren't exactly issues or reason why one OS is better than the other
As i said, unless you're using specific applications where it is beneficial to use OSX then there isn't much difference between the two OS's. It just becomes horses for courses.

What a bizarre argument. These are just differences in the UI, what next. complaints that the window controls are on the right in Windows and on the left in OSX?
