I *think* L and M reg's are the pre ecotech engine and have a few extra horses. Best I had out of mine was 128mph, dont know how accurate this is tho.

sounds like a bargain mate, especially if the bodywork is as good as you say, there are not many L reg vauxhalls in flame red going around that havent faded to pink

Mug shot you prob wont notice the extra 3 horses from your engine which is besides the point as mine was r/r @ well-lane recorded 115bhp @ 6241rpm ive not taken it tp the max cos havn't been on the m-ways to test it cos my EGR valve was playing up but the gsi is still the same mechanically i.e gearbox and so on...

the engines with the plastic inlet manifold make a better induction growl.

iv had 125mph in my corsa down the m1 cus av pushed alittle more but i didnt

Fitted one of them to my mates 106, he bought it as a bit of a laugh really, lasted about a week before fell off, bloke driving behind ran over and bent it
