I use these below. Had them on both the VXR and Audi. They even stuck the front plate on the VXR which has to bend in the middle due to pointy bumper!

I got some from Halfords when they made my plate up. Pretty sure they were 3m. Been on nearly 2 years now.

FancyPlates send their own type of sticky pad and they work brilliant, make sure the car is hot before you put them on though otherwise they won't work.

Ive always used Signam sticky pads, came with the numberplate computer thing at my old place. They do the job of sticking the plate to the car anyway.

I used Halfords Trim Tape. Those plates were going nowhere!
