its VW scene idiots that wear girls jeans that are to blame.

if they pay £2000 for 4 seats then they are amazingly bonkers

think i will split my car and call everything rare and sell it to the "Scenemo's"

i think the only thing in the VW scene that isn't "rare" is the actual word "rare"

I couldn't give a fook how rare they are, that sort of money is ridiculous! They look in need of a good refurb too (especially the fronts)

The VW scene must be the only one where people are prepared to spend £10k plus on a car worth £2k and parts swap hands for the sort of money above

Is it just me, or do those seats look the same as the Recaro's which came in Ford's with just different covers?

You had Cambridge Autogleam detail your car Jim?!

EDIT: Just found the thread http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=17967

If leather has gone that shiny, you won't get results like the link on the Corrado / R32 forum - the leather they're doing it on is relatively new, and the shiny finish is from inground dirt opposed to a combination of that and general wear.

Also, older leather tended to be shinier from factory, whereas these days all leather is at best satin.

A magic sponge will remove the inground dirt, but not as effectively as a proper scrub with a leather brush / soft bristle nail brush and cleaner. Magic sponges also tend to leave a bit of a residue that will give a matt finish but wear off soon after.

Once it gets to a certain age it won't ever stop looking a bit shiny - Jims leather above is a good example as that's clean, but worn.

Try Gliptone with a nail brush then the wet microfibre and see after that. Or, Megs interior APC (safe to use on leather unlike a lot of others) as that tends to have a bit more bite than a lot of dedicated leather cleaners.
