Fair enough - probably did answer my own question. Just still never fails to amaze me that all the crap is is in the mainstream, and anybody who actually knows their shit and puts a bit of effort into it has to pick around the edges for media coverage.

Tinchie Strider wouldnt be in my top 20 uk mcs - and yet its the only rap I ever hear on radio one these days

I understand why people like his voice, and his flow - it is unusual.

What I dont get is how anyone can take him seriously with his lyrics and behaviour

He is hanging around with a load of 12 year olds
Talking about hand guns constantly
Telling us half the crowd are 'snorting my charly' - they must be to put up with you mate.
Boasting about how fly his clothes are - his clothes are shit
He refers to the Police Force as 'feds', that is unforgivable in Uk hip hop

His lyrics are everything that is wrong with rap - its not hip hop. Bitches, bling and braaap is just boring now, it was never that interesting to start with

Example is good in it, but the lyrics he used weren't done for this particular song. He used them off one of his previous songs.
