I think Top Gear are running out of Idea's now and have been for a while. Imo the stig made the show very good.We all know the stuff is planned so when it happens it's no suprise. Disapointed

Except in this episode it made it look like they thought up everything i.e. driving through the desert, which made it even less believable.

I still really enjoyed it though

For those of you who obviously didn't see the news about James May before the show was aired:

That bit wasn't scripted or staged!

Fucking boring IMO 458/SLS/GT3 one was loads better although the scripted nature of the show has now gone into overdrive and is only gonna get worse

Edit to say, funnily enough the bit everyone seems to find the most interesting is James May's unplanned tumble, their scripted schenanigans are simply getting dull. Right from the off, out of the plane and hiding in the secure airport, they're actors rather than presenters.

Ofcourse it's scripted, everything is planned, do you think they're just going to drive through the middle east and make everything up as they go along? it's an entertaining programme whether it's funny or not and it's by far been the best thing on the TV over Christmas.

Everything was clearly staged, driving through them dodgy back streets making it look like they got lost and ended up there still gave you that feeling of them being in danger, when in reality they had 2 or 3 vehicles crammed with police/army personell and a helicopter full of men waiting to shoot anyone who got in their way, they were with them at all times, they were never in any danger what so ever but it made you think that they were.

When they were driving through that mountain pass you could see the helicopter right next to them.
