That's shit that is..

Certain locking nuts are a bitch to remove, invest in some good lock nuts to stop it happening again.

Yes manufacturer ones and cheap ones can be bust off with normal multi-spline sockets, but a decent set wont.

Still gutting to see it

It was in my car park, it has a barrier but not gates.
had the standard BMW locking nuts which are undamaged, which means they have got a set of dealer keys to undo them.
CCTV signs are up but no cameras.
we are contacting the building owners to get some gates put in like the flats next door as loads of cars got done in their car park.

The police have said there has been lots of m3 wheels going misiing in the area and they have some leads, they are taking the nuts for forensics.

they brought wood and bricks with them as there is nothing lying around in the area

It's going to be professional thieves who travel around the area doing jobs. It won't be a chancer or someone in your place. Wankers.

The piss poor thing about BMW locking nuts is that they are all the same.

The spline key for one fits in most other BMW's too.

Gutted for you. Makes you wonder if it was planned in advance which means they've been watching you and the car or if they just drive round looking for cars to nick wheels off and found yours.

I had thought that

Is there any way you can just use the C3 or a car from car sales, and leave the Mini at work?

Yep. There was a 'gang' of thieves in MK who stole 9 lots of alloys in one night on the same housing estate, including my mates neighbours VXR wheels off his Astra.

Great reply. Still can't believe it though mate.I'd be livid!

Makes me wonder why genuine people work hard to buy things they want when there is scum around doing this.

EDIT: was it the csl wheels in the pic (if they are csl ones?) if so, surely they're quite rare?
