todays update...
got up early and loaded the jack and my box into the boot.
car was then taken to my mrs's grannys house, where i am renting the garage for £20 a month.
the garage in question
how the corsa fits inside it
first job was to remove spoiler that jenkos buying
Then i stripped the boot and eventually the whole rear end
these will eventually go to the tip aswell as the shite minging grey carpet
pile of bits
handy bench lol
bit of a tidy up, and i am quite lucky a mate donated a bottom box
my new axle stands
and as the car stands
should get a bit graft done next weekend, eyes peeled

well after being away all week got a chance to do a bit in garage
first up removed headling and noticed the roof was wet? take it thats not a good thing?
then stripped last of interior plastics ect and found some rust nothing to bad
couple shots of how she looked
then had a tough time with the worlds tigtest bolt
so called in reinforcements
and walla
found £3.76 under carpet
then used the rroof of garage as storage
pile of stuff for tip
and gone
and a cheeky one of martin the blow torch providers kit car being prepped
may pop in tomorrow and get the doors stripped and removed, then tackle the dash one evening
opinions or advice welcome

so got the chance to do some more work today although hit a stumbling block
firstly started stripping the door and all went well (although i dont think i know how to get the window back in)
then got stuck with these fuckers, asked and got a prompt answer but didnt have anything to bash them through
while i was waiting for cs to reply i noticed a bit rust near the seat mount. after some probing it was dead flaky but thankfully only a patch about 1 inch x 2 inch was fucked, cant figure out how as i gave all around it a good bash and nothing else is rusty nor is underneath. maybe door has leaked at some point and water settled there?
anyway, decided to take sound deadenning out incase it had any more rot... so far it doesnt
suprised how heavy this stuff is
also found this down near side of what would be rear seat
and a parting shot
plans are to get the door off and strip then remove the other one next time i go. then i need to get the rest of sound deadenning out of interior and then tackle the dash. cant decide how i want the interior now, used to hate stripped cars but love the way it looks now in mine. did fancy a leather retrim though hmmm

Fuck sake heres the bad news....
well i had a free hour so started removing some more sound deadening whilst i awaited a mate to hold the door while i got the pins out...
i discovered this...
yes thats right, 2 bastard holes about 10p size in the floor under where the seat would be, glad ive found them though as the metal around them is solid so just need a patch putting in
we then got the door off and stored away
then i decided before i turn the car around it would be wise to strip the rear bumper and arches off. so first i did the pass side
not too bad i hear you say, your correct too its solid so not at all worried
then the drivers side
fuck sake eh!!!
gutted, so what should i do with this?
i was thinking a whole qaurter and rub then inner arch down - treat - seal ect? the inner arch on the other side has rust but not nearly as bad?
help/advice appreciated

I'd go to a body shop if your willing to spend the money, everytime i got to buy a corsa or i know someone who i is, i feel under the plastic arches incase something like that is hiding

body shop would cost more than i paid for the car mate. if i do the full qaurter id attempt myself tbh need to get the rest of the car totally stripped and up on stands so i can go to town on the bare shell and learn to weld
