All insurance companies ad extra if your paying monthly. You dont get any off by paying it off in 1 payment.

Do you think the imprezas insurance would be minus pounds? as the money you wasted on high premiums means you actually spent more money that you would have.
When I was 17-19 I was on parents insurance and saved prob £1500 but didn't get any NCB, but today with 3 YNCB i'm only paying £500 FC for the bmw.

well no not really, your bmw isnt a group 20 car and you dont live in a bad area for insurance, so in the long run having my own NCB has paid off in the long run instead of saving money when i was 18.

See when I was 17 the nova was going to be £1300 TPFT on my mums it was a whole £50 a month so a saving of £700, than at 18 the corsa was £750 odd would have been £1200 a saving of £450, when 19 it was £650 would have been £1000 odd saving of £350, yeah so total of £1500 saved for nothing. That saving has payed for the equivalent last 3 years insurance + i've payed an extra £350 over 3 years , it can't be right you've saved money.

your argument is invalid because i would not have even been able to insure the car i have now without building up my own no claims, if your going by what you say if i was to put down 1 or 2 years NCB my quote would be 3.5K plus so yes it does work out cheaper for me
