also had some problems with the car recently! When i brought it, it was just slow as fuck! I didnt think anything of it, just thought that i mustve been used 2 the power from my 1.6l. Then i drove my sisters 1.0l and it was faster than mine :O lol so i gatherd i had a problem . My mate sufferd from lack of power from his corsa and it turned out 2 be afm. So i thought id give that a go, changed it over and it goes like a rocket now 8-)..... well for a 1.2 anyway lol

Last thing to swap over from the x16xe is the 2.0l cavy brakes so i managed to swap them over on the weekend... no problems, just forgot to pump the pedal afterwards and almost ended up with a broken garage door aha.

old piddly 1.2 brakes

compared.. quite alot of surface rust but no brake judder.... yet =\

and fitted. should look good behind the speedlines

BIG UPDATE

I was scanning through the classifieds last week when i came across a decent redtop engine being sold and could be heard running. Looked into it a bit more and then realised it was being sold in my home town So i popped down to lil_g's house to have a look. Great lad btw, thanks alot for the help mate!!!
I was really pleased with the engine so i drove back down 2 his house yesterday with '12 valver' 2 remove it from his corsa. Thanks again for the help mate! It turned out 2 b one major job convsidering i didnt have an engine crane 2 remove it with, so i just jack the car up rather hige and lowerd the engine out of the bottom.

Basically it had everything i needed to convert my car to a redtop

20xe early redtop engine (no cat)
pretty sure its an f16 box
loom and ecu
conversion mounts
2.25" powerflow exhaust system
and a lot of little goodies aswel

The engine had a rebuild in 2009 and produced 152bhp on the rolling road when it was in lil_g's car. So i am one happy boy

I'l get a few pictures once ive got everything together. All the parts are scatterd at the moment lol. Trying to find a home for them all untill i find the time to convert my corsa. Havnt got a huge amount of plans for it just yet, il probably just end up replacing a few gaskets and giving it a lick of paint and enjoying the power once i wack it into the corsa

Well... heres the proof that im now actually a proud redtop owner

the only problem is getting it out of the car lol. im going 2 strip the block down tonight in my car and hopefully lift it out with a few mates. I'l get a few decent pictures once its out of the car

and a couple of goodies sitting in the bottom of my toolbox. 100mm rear springs, 20xe ecu and conversion mounts
