I've never been ID'd since I turned 18 even though Morrisons had an under 21 thing at the time, a couple of years ago they upped it to under 25s (I think I was 21 at the time) and I still never get asked even though I'm still under 25.
I find it bizarre when people try to guess my age, most go a few years older and I have had a few 'in your thirties' yet I get the odd one every now and then like a bloke last week asked if I was about 21  Weird

I got ID'd for a drink in a pub once, fair enough, only thing is it was 12 in the afternoon i was 19 and ordering a coke

As true as that is alot of people aged 15 or sometimes less can easily look 18 (I was in the pubs at 14/15 and only got asked for I.D once and this was when they went off people "looking 18") so the whole point of challenge 25 is because the chances of someone under 18 looking 25+ is very slim, anyone caught by trading standards selling age restricted products to someone under 18 gets an £80 on the spot fine, and could spend time in prison and/or get a £5000 fine.

He's right - driving a car means nothing where retail sales are concerned, it wouldn't be considered sufficient defence in court and isn't even a reasonable form of ID in it's own right.

As a server of booze fags and lotto in a spar....
You get an £80 fine for underage sales these days + prob loose job so i ask any and every fucker!!!! (also the spar gets in the shit!)
I had a piss head trying to get a few cans at 6am, could not serve booze till 8am and he was offering to pay the £80 fine!!! So my job aint worth shit then pmsl!!!

I was at my brother a few years back. Went to the Spar with him on a friday evening to get a few tins and some fags. Got ID'd so whipped it out and she says she couldn't serve me (I was 20), then says that there is a new law saying they can't serve under 25's from 6pm on a friday till 8am sunday morning.
My brother then says fine, i'll get it all, he's legal anyway and refuses to serve him because he was buying it for me even though he was 27 and we were going to be drinking it in his house
In the end we went to the tesco round the corner and no problems. Fucking idiot woman. Everyone in the shop was as shocked as us.
