I notice on insurance now, they ask you if youve had any accidents or claims in the last 3 years including glass damage. So now you have to declare new windscreens as a claim

I wonder if they are being trained correctly. We used to have an old bloke come round our garage and fill in chips once a week and his results were outstanding, you could only see a tiny matte dot the size of a pin head once he had finished. I dont know if they use the same equipment but this guys device for filling them in was work in the region of £3000
unless he works for autoglass and has one of their kits it wont be £3000. most people use a esprit kit which is around £500 and tbh i get better results with that than i did with the autoglass shit
No, he definately wasnt autoglass, he was sub contracted by some insurance group. This is going back a good 5-6 years ago mind

you can claim as many screens as you want, the will NOT affect the renewal price on your insurane or affect your no claims bonus etc

They must just be asking for information purposes then.
When have you ever seen an insurance company asking a question that didn't factor into their calculations?

unsurance companies sometimes use the imformation to cross reference to save themselves being mugged off.if you lie and they can prove it, no payout for you

Colon G, WTF?
If they ask about glass damage within the same question as accidents and claims, you can bet it will affect the premium.

they will keep in on record, when you get quotes, or make claims then that information will always be available

I just had a courtesy call from them and I had a moan!

But why would they bother collecting that information if they weren't going to do anything with it?

They also made me sign another sheet when it was done
Yes think they have to do that, as they did that with me also.

missing my point, they will keep the information, then, in the event of an accident claim, they could, if they wish, cross reference your info, and if found to be non truthful, tell you to politely do one as your insurance is now void

What companies ask so we can get some quotes and confirm either way?
