i'd go with the filling from a bean bag and a funnel..

won't do any harm, but is a bastard to clean up and the balls with haunt you for months as you keep finding them.

would be amazing if you go some sort of pipe and pressure so you could spray them around the room instead of just a pile by the door

Bean bag is an ace idea. We trialled spaghetti, ikea pencils and spit bombs through one guys door last night, it worked well, next week we are getting someone else properly as we will have all day, although we have somehow got to remove coats off the back of the door first!
