no one will expect a passat to keep up with modern hot hatches.

If i were spending 30k on a high performance Saloon I would want it to decimate hot hatches, not 'keep up with them'

30k isn't too bad really when astras/focus' can easily go above 22k brand new

Well its a 1/3 more and looks like your comparing a base spec Passat with a fully specced Focus/Astra?

Like has been mentioned may be a good purchase once its had some serious depreciation. Bit like the W12 I guess.

Its a beauty, its just the BLOODY fuel prices, would be a pain to say the least, its just Diesel really isn't that cool!
