Fonz, Typhoon has been on QRF for the past few years.
In defence of the French, I read a book by a US Marine from WW2, he was saying that the French army was mostly made up from blokes off the street, they were given no training and one gun between two, but no ammo. He didn't blame them for surrendering against a vastly better armed German army.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Their Navy didn't surrender to the Germans though, they eventually scuttled their own ships that we hadn't disabled when the Germans tried to take control of them in Toulon iirc.

Bend, I was talking about the army, not the navy.

That is bullshit about the French army, when the Germans went back into Alsac Lorraine the Germans had a tiny force with out of date weapons and tanks they had only just started the rebuilding program, but the French on the other hand had a vastly superior army they had rebuilt it after WW1 along with the Magniot line to prevent the Germans strolling back into Paris
