Rockingham can be a bit bland from previous races (though I've not seen BTCC there).
Snetterton is looking like a good shout for this season - all new track layout.

Good thing about Rockers is you can see whole circuit from stands.

There is that. Always feels like a totally lifeless place though. About a million seats and hardly anyone to fill them.

Penultimate round in 2009 was great from there, but like you say, the stands looked completely empty.
I'm told they have a sign at the tunnel driving in calling it the "exhaust aural appreciation tunnel"

Bugger they're using the S2000 chassis. A full NGTC spec car would have been an easier repair with the bolt on subframes and tubed front end.

Drama before the lights even go on. As much as Collard annoys me, I'd at least like to see all the cars make the start.

bloody retards crashing on the formation lap was sneakily leaving this on in the background without the missus noticing, then that happened, and now she'll bitch at me for watching it

I only signed up today so didnt get entered in time.
Round one being a write off, I'm suite happy with Sheds/Civic and Wrathal/Leon. Once the kinks are ironed out, should get some good points in.
Something else I've noticed today, British motorsport has found its Danica Patrick in the form of Nic Hamilton. "so nic, despite basically learning club motorsport lessons in a top level series and spending half your race in the gravel trap or on your own, we've all watched you for the last 20mins. tell us all about it... (dont forget to bring along ya bruv and big name sponsors"
Dont get me wrong, I actually like Nic, but until he does something of note, how about fuck off and concentrate the media on the winners and the people who actually need to give their sponsors the promised exposure to stay in the game!

I thought that was wrong too. Interviewed Nick who came nowhere before the winner.
Is a bit of a shame for everyone else that the name gets him the big sponsors too, but was bound to happen.
Vodafone/Tag/whoever knew ITV would be all over it - priceless advertising opportunity tbh.

Yet another case study in Plato being a prick as well. Sheds chases for multiple laps, no contact and gets the pass. First corner after the pass, Plato trys to tap him round.

i laughed at plato saying that he let him passed and have his day at the end there, flash had him lined up and done before plato could close the door,
as for the tap sheds gave a few out today so that equals it all up imo
good days racing cant wait for Donny 17th

Plato is a dirty cunt. Hate him. Doesn't stop moaning about the turbo cars either. His team had same opportunity to go turbo too.
As for Nick. Seems a really nice guy. The ITV coverege was OTT but it's not his fault. He seems pretty smooth too and looked at home behind the wheel. I suspect his disability will prevent him ever being up at the front tho. He was 12 in yesterdays race and was punted off today so unlucky.
