torque on Punto GT's is crap? Don't think 145lb/ ft is crap mate.

Petrol consumption is alright if you don't drive it on boost all the time....but who gives a fcuk about fuel consumption

it boosts at over 1.3 bar.

So, whats the difference between torque and high boost pish torque? 145lb/ft is still a decent torque figure.

over boost is 1.6bar , standard constant is 1.1bar 3000-4500rpm. makes 0.8 bar at 6000rpm

maybe because it is turbocharged chris....

earlier models of the gt have more bhp..

i dont rate the gt mainly because of the high boost pressure not tunable as most turbo cars... plus the insurance group on it is a bit heavy...

the good thing i liked about them at first was you hardly seen them now they are all over the place.. boring

not really high boost pressure. peak power is at 0.8 bar. peak torque is 1.2. rememebr it is a small engine and a small turbo. 1.2 bar using a bigger turbo means bigger volume of air if the inlet tubes are bigger.

yeah, I agree that Punto GT's are more common than Corsa's. They are easily affordable and cheap to run and I'm bored of seeing so many of them.

I was taking the p1ss Niven.

You say that there are loads of GT's now which i disagree with. They aren't that common cause of the high insurance costs.

Still cracking wee cars for 1372cc engines
