yup, if there's a label under it saying £1, they have to sell you it for £1, if they refuse, tell them trading standards etc, it's illegal for em to advertise something at 1 price and sell it at another Nice one

Head office fixed the problem this moning I'll just have to wait for there next cock up & as for the label thing we don't have to honour it at all bit of a myth if they start saying I'll ge trading standards involved we can just turn around and say I'll "strike it off sale" term we use which means we have to take it off sale for 24 hours and don't have to sell it to that individual at the time love doing it when people get irate, but in general for the sake of a few £ considering they cleared £3B in profit they tell us to honour it keeps the customers happy to

Haha I didn't think till came on and thought might be a good shout it happens all the time though in express any way the other week the 2 crates for £14 were going through as £4 as instead of reducing it to £14 it took £14 off the total lol

Perhaps but as Lee said they're offering to trade and they don't legally have to sell you the item. Therefore it's up the manager/shop discretion whether or not they go through with the sale.

the best thing to do is buy it for the more expensive price, then at that point they have entered into a sales contract with you and our obliged honor the price advertised by way of refund... the policy used to be double the difference but this is no longer advertised but to my knowledge if you ask for double the difference you stand a good chance of getting it
