No cutting every week, no weeds poking through ( that got you into this mess )
Dont worry though just a idea im not telling you.

I cut my grass for the second time since I moved in today.
What a complete waste of time I could be sitting on here.
Still wouldn't have fake grass though, stupid idea.

Seen some at ideal home show last weekend not my cup tea! Nothing better than perfect striped real grass like a football pitch!
Cut mine 2-3 times a week hate seeing it untidy / long!
Be good to see results in a few weeks Ben, make sure keep it watered in warm weather!

Bought a massive bag off seed from Wilkos today. Will get it done tomorrow hopefully. Sprinkler is on now giving the lawn a good soaking.

had some good fortune with regards to the weather this past week as it's been raining almost every day.
haven't cut it yet but it looks to be coming on well.
not sure on why theres a lighter patch though. that was part of the original grass which was always lighter, so might dig that bit up and re-turf, but i think theres a red ants nest under it, not sure if that would affect the grass?

Why is it a stupid idea?
I am actually looking into it right now for my house, and for 3 reasons;
1. Biggest reason is that I suffer very badly from hayfever, and can't even be near cut grass, let alone cut it.
2. I don't have a lawnmower (not got room for it in the garage/workshop, and don't want a shed), so have to pay someone to do it. No access to the back without going through the garage, and I don't trust anyone with the keys, so have to be around with they come - inconvenient
3. The street is sometimes tight for parking and it would help if we could occasionally park on the front lawn for a weekend without ruining the turf.
I think it's an excellent idea and certainly suits my needs.

I suffer from hayfever.
I've not got a lawnmower.
Don't need the parking though.

finally cut the grass today. never let your grass get too long. had to empty the bucket thing 4 times and took over an hour to cut.
looks infinitely better though imo, will sprinkle some after cut grass seed down soon to bring the colour up nice.

when your grass is really long, give it a long cut 1st and leave the cuttings on till next cut, then get shorter each time.
helps with bald spots
