1. Redundancy Statement

Leaving date: 16 May 2011

Length of service at leaving date: 11 years

Annual salary: £21,262

Weekly salary used for redundancy calculation: £408.88
(annual salary divided by 52)

Number of weeks used for redundancy payment 39.27

Total redundancy payment : £16,056.72

This payment includes your entitlement to a redundancy payment under the Employment Rights Act 1996 and, in accordance with current legislation and Inland Revenue rules, the first £30,000 of this payment will not be subject to Income Tax.

2. Notice Period

You are entitled to 22 weeks notice. As agreed we will arrange to pay you in lieu of this notice, totalling £8,995.46. This will be paid into your bank account on 20 May 2011. This payment is subject to tax and national insurance in the normal manner.

3. Pension

After you leave you will receive a statement regarding your preserved pension entitlement and the options available to you in your Royal London pension.

If you have any queries concerning your staff pension please contact Teresa Brennan, Payroll and Benefits Team, .

I've genuinley got to be sensible, I won't ever have this amount of money again IMO so I need to keep most of it to buy a house at some point. Obviously I'll have a nice year do some nice things but within reason.
