Warren, do you remap 1.8T Cupra Rs?
I have a map (and a +5% version) I found on the internet but I'm scared to upload it on my car.
I tried to download the standard map once (via OBD using KWP2000+ (chinese copy) and ME7 software) but it wouldn't kick. Think it's because I didn't connect a 12V supply to the battery.
EDITED after reading 3CMs post:
Also, my steering has play in it. Could it be the track rod bushes? My steering wheel is straight but the car always pulls slightly to the left.

Yeah i can do them,
as for using chinese mapping tools, and unknown map files - just be careful, on some cars the tools work fine (astra z20lets) but known to crash other ecu types
steering could be a number of things, if you have play in the steering when stational likely to be track rod ends or UJ, but you need to have it checked properly - no point guessing
pulling to left could be tracking, get it checked

the 30bhp doesnt really make a lot of difference, in a straight line theres not a lot to shout about, pulls away slightly above 80mph thats about it

Quick question, UJ = universal joint?
There was talk of faulty steering knuckles on SCN. I don't know what that is
