i have one of these unfortunatly as a company car,
there the biggest piece of shit ever, terrible for my job,
mine only says a average of 34mpg and does about 330miles to a tank of fuel
only good thing about it is the company car tax its pretty much free

TDI's are never as economical as forums make them out to be - I know because I drive one.

Joe, you're clearly driving it wrong then... I took the old one up and down the Welsh mountains, chasing rally cars about in the pissing rain last year, Did over 500 miles and used a tank and a bit with it, ~40MPG and I was ragging the SHIT out of it. Your point about the tax is right though, for him it's a worry free car & all fuel for £140 a month or something stupid. The miles he racks up means these days he's using that much fuel in a week.
