Was going to say something similar, I can just imagine my nerves sitting there about to prod that starter button for the first time

I guess thats where a lot of experience, knowledge and self belief comes into play.

I know what you mean though.

You can pressure wash an old corsa engine without damaging anything.

What do you think the car washing guys at Audi do after they've spilled oil everywhere, give it a quick blast, not get into it with a toothbrush.

Sorry mate, but i've seen/heard of several occasion where people have jet washed engine bays and fucked things up.

I'm talking about a £26k car not an "old corsa".

Also, if the techies at Audi do it and fuck it up they are covered. if I do it, i've got a fat bill on my hands.

Tbh i've done it several times (i'll be doing it today actually!), but my point was i'm always a bit nervous.

Not saying theres anything wrong with doing it and the Polished Bliss guys obv know what they are doing, but even if I was a pro, i'd still be a bit on someones Enzo.

i wouldnt do my own one, to be honest i dont really see the point of cleaning an engine bay, you clean it, never open it again until its dirty? also a dirty engine bay shows bits have not had to be replaced and in good order if you come to sell it. i know that sounds weird but how alot of people see it.

Okay, but this is going to a show on Sunday, so the owner wanted every part to look its best.
Plus i'd rely on a cars history to find out what parts had been replaced. Not try and look for clean bits
