I really don't wish to make it sound like I'm being a cunt because I have the utmost respect for these guys, but lets cast our minds back 60 odd years landing on the shores of Sword beach or fighting in the hedgerows or Normandy against thousands of well trained and discplined troops who have far superior weaponary to you compared with a bunch of rag heads firing indiscriminatly at 400 metres who aren't trained and aren't well equipped.
We feel sorry for those guys and I do also, but we must never forget what our grandfathers and great grandfathers who went through 50x worse.

Its funny you say that, I was talking to someone a while ago that had been out there when it first kicked off, he was saying they used to just point and shoot, now they aim. Someone is training them.

saw the 1st one, loved it, watched it lastnight, thought it was pretty crap.
using a metal detector to find IEDs, did you see the way he was just walking along swinging it in front of him?
by the time it beeps, he would be standing on it already

A lad i know was doing this leading the pack.....he about had a mental breakdown when the bloke walking behind him stood on it.

Obviously its bad whats happening in Afghan, but surely the total amount of British deaths over there in the last 10 years doesnt even add up to 10 hours of WW2 fighting!
