Had a cat-back and a matt black engine cover Which produced 213bhp and 112 torques.

Also i wouldnt buy a ctr based on it being better on a motorway as it still revs high and is noisy at 70 in 6th...
Mine drank fuel too

I know mate, combination of work issues and other things have led me to sell up. Really need to stick to one car lol.

I completely forgot about noise, and the ctr will win hands down I'm sure...

im sure a milltek on the clio would sound amazing as well. Bar points i mentioned earlier about the clio, i would choose one over a CTR mainly due to the fact you dont have to see 6krpm everytime you want to have some fun

That is a stupid point though. Because at 6k it's nearly the limiter for the Clio? They have different gear ratio's and driving styles They also have much more torque than they're made out to have.

You do get bored waiting on the revs to reach 6k before the vtec kicks in.
I do 80 miles a day minimum during the week and done the same in the clio for 6 months so i get used to and bored of cars quickly, which is probably why i preferred the clio because its spec'd miles better.
Another thing wtf is with the ep3 windows. When you open either the door panel moves. Must have something to do with the rain or dirt on the windows but theyre fucking annoying. The thud noise it makes gets on your tits.

I've owned my CTR for 2 years now and I admit sometimes it does my head in but most of the time it's just epic fun.... I've also been in a 172 and 182 (not a cup though).
In terms of straight line speed there'll be nothing in it until top end where the CTR will edge it... handling it all depends.. Tiff reckons the CTR is still better but from experience the 182 is quicker through the narrower twisty stuff!!
I'd say the CTR is better built (interior looks 1,000,000x better as well), better engine, better gearbox, bigger, better driving position, faster (not by much) and more reliable....
182 is cheaper, more luxuries and better value for money!
In some ways it's hard to compare these 2 as they are different car class's (in regards to size anyways) I'd class the 182 as a super-mini size (like corsa, 106, saxo etc) and the CTR is in the hatch-back size (like golf, astra, focus etc...).
And comparing the interior of a basic CTR vs a 182 cup edition is just stupid.. compare it against the premier edition or 30th anni/JDM and IMO the CTR still wins... even the Megane RS 225 interior looks dreary in comparison to my ep3
Clio 182 interior:
Civic Type R:
As for looks, well the CTR is a love or hate affair (looks like a breadvan according to some people) but I guess that's also the same with the 182 (a clio is one of the girliest cars out there )...

My mate has a ctr on a 52, the clio keeps up with it in a straight line maybe the ctr will pull very very slightly upto 100. The clio is definately better in corners though, leave him way behind on the B roads.

The only reason I said the french cars fall apart is because, I had a new gearbox, and countless engine mounts and other things done to it under warrenty. Which shows how new it was at the time.

CTR for me having driven both
However CTR revs quite high on motorway - sure its nearly 4k at 70 mph
They do drink fuel when on it but use very little when pottering about
Interior is a let down on both and CTR do like a bit of oil every now and then
CTR insurance is also a killer

Civic all the way for me, no offence to anyone, but i've always seen the clio as a bit of a girls car and the lads that have them around here are the lads with spikey hair and pink shirts

yes but you get some quotes - regardless of group number CTR are so much more expensive to insure - well they were when I looked at them - but that was some years ago
