The only strategy is to cut out the house edge. No amount of doubling up or following a pattern will help. Eventually you WILL lose.
Roulette is the 'easiest' to flip the house edge, easiest being a relative term since its pretty much impossible with accurate wheels and a ban on counting strategies.

I could hook you up with several 'winning' methods.
You'll lose eventually.

Best way to win at any casino game is to make up complicated sounding strategies that you can sell

Yes, I was doubling up each time I lose.
I made a fair bit of money from the strategy. It just hurts a little bit when its that amount.
I have my limits and I'm still happy
My friends's parents play roulette properly. They sit there for ages and calculate shit.
It must work though... They come back with thousands
There is NO strategy for roulette.
You win a little, you lose, you win, you lose.
There is NO WAY of telling what will come out next.
There is actually, just depends how much money you have got, I'll try and explain
Say to start with you bet £1 on red if you lose you double it to £2.
If you lose again you double it again to £4 again betting on red.
Keep doing this until you win.
Pretty simple in theory, I think

Your going to win £1
In a casino you'll get kicked off, and in a bookmakers with e-roulette you'll reach the £100 max before you win.

What part of 'there isn't a simple strategy' is difficult to understand.
What happens when you run out of cash or hit the table limit? You won't be able to recoup your losses.

I dunno Im not a gambler but it worked in my head, until you run out of money of course.
Why would you get kicked out for that?

The Martingale system is very easy to understand and follow. This is why it has become one of the most popular strategies used by players all over the globe. Watch out, it is a flawed system. But, I believe that with a few alterations the system can still be used to make consistent profits at the roulette table.
Rules
Choose a colour (we’ll use red for the example) and place a £1 on it. Spin the wheel.
If your bet loses then double your bet for the next spin (i.e. place £2 on red).
If your bet loses again, then double up to £4
If your bet loses, double up to £8
You probably understand by now. Keep doubling your stake if your bet loses. stop as soon as you win. The amount won by doubling your stake completely offsets the loss of the previous bets.
Many of you will be thinking that this is great, and that you can’t lose! Well, this is true if two conditions are met. Firstly, you must have an unlimited bankroll. In theory any number of blacks may come out in a row – by doubling your stake each time starting from just £1, 15 losing bets in a row would require you to place a £32,768 stake on the next bet. Second, and related, the system requires the casino to not have a table limit on the size of the bet accepted. All casinos have this limit – and it is considerably smaller than £32,768!
Is it still worth using?
In my eyes, the martingale system can be used effectively as a staking plan in the short run. However, I use the following alterations as I find it more profitable.
Don’t stick to one colour. If you are waiting for red and five blacks have come out in a row, then go for black! It has the same chance at coming out as red.
Play European roulette, with a single 0, and not American roulette with the single zero and double zero spaces. You should always play European roulette for any system as the house edge is much lower.
Play a short game. If you lose 5 in a row then stop betting and start again. It is not worth chasing with big stakes just to break even – if you hit the table limit then you are in trouble.
Here it is, from another website I use.

You wouldn't get kicked out for that at all, they know you'll lose. You'd only get kicked out for dodgy stuff - switching bets, timing spins etc.

I never said I came up with it I had been told about it but only half listened as I dont gamble, but typical cs "everyone is a liar/bullshitter" mentality comes out as usual.

I thought you were joking at first harris
All tables have a house maximum bet, when you reach that you are fucked.
If it was that easy people wouldnt need to bother working. Just sit on roulette all day

we had a bloke in the other day who could work out where the ball could land to within 2 numbers once the balls spinning , he came in with £200 and left with £6000 , the only way to tacticly win at roullete is study the spin and place bets in the section of the wheel you think it will land in , the only promblem with this is you have the know the roullete wheel quite welll to place all the bets while spinning
the doubling up system does work but you dont want to be playing massivly to win very little so it still can loose

Christ almighty, how many times
Counting spins is possible, but you need a table that accepts bets in play and an extremely quick mind. People used this method in america but needed hidden computers to help - was quickly banned.

Holy bejeeeeesus
Gambling is only for fun imo.
You play to have a laugh and potentially make some money and go home giggling like a little girl.
You win some, you lose some.
Anyway, http://www.roulettesystemx.com/
Isn't that correct? Or am I being a bit naive?

Exactly that! My friend's parents sit there for hours and come home with plenty of cash. You CAN predict it!
They're living proof that there is a strategy in roulette.

Naive.
Any website that begins with a paragraph that says "I'm giving this information away for free but here is a bunch if affiliate links" isn't the most trustworthy.

Oh btw, reading up on it, it is 50/50 (ignoring the green) on a roulette table, regardless of how many times it hits the same colour/odds evens.
My bad

It's 50/50 apart from the 00 which skews it in the house's favour.

What are the chances of me losing 8 games of blackjack in a row?
for example
I stand on 17, dealer gets 18
I stand on 18, dealer gets 19
I stand on 19, dealer gets 20
I stand on 20, dealer gets blackjack
