Is it water resistant? Just thinking moisture in wood causes it to warp and shrink when it drys out.

i dont understand whats wrong with seeing the wood grain tho.. its not uncommon to find ply on converted road cars as its cheap and faily durable.
dont forget this is a purely functional addition, its not staying on when driving on the road.

If its purely track use and coming off when on the road leave it how it is. Function over form and all that. Didnt realise you were taking it off when driving on the road

it goes right under the front, and joing the centre subframe section. As the car is all flat bodied this was only thing i could do .

not keen myself, just looks weird, but if you're taking it off for normal road use then it's ok i guess.
just don't understand why you went to all the effort to cut the headrests out to save about 3kg's only to add considerable weight to the front end by bolting wood to it.

the weight of the head rests are at the top of the car where the weight of the splitter is at the bottom, and since there is nothing in the front end other than a heater, water bottle and 2 radiators its not all that heavy either at least this extra weight will be over the front end.
i dont know how much it weighs to be honsest but i cant imagine more than a couple kg.

oh ok thats not too bad then. i think its just the end bits that look a bit dodgy as they come out further than the weidth of the bumper but thats how the frp one sits on normal puma bumpers, maybe just needs wrapping.

ideally you want them to come out as it stops the air being channeled directly under the wheels and round the sides, ideally you should have a piece on the back of the splitter to force that excess over the wheels rather than let it go round.

yes the mustang one is perfect as it connects to the arches at the sides.

i could do that by adding some small sheets to the back of the splitter but im not sure how i would attach that to the arches ont he car as yet.
