I think i'm gonna have to pass on those man points. More pain than I expected
Not allowed to drink 24 after the anaesthetic anyway

Will be impressed if you make the pub although i suppose it depends on the hernia with regards to pain. I had a inguinal hernia op a few years back and the pain was horrendous; could barely sit up let alone walk. After about two weeks i was hobbling about but still in a fair amount of pain. It was a few months before i was walking/driving around and a further few before i was completely pain free (although i still get the odd twinge/ache from the scar tissue, usually when it's cold).
Good luck though
Cheers for all the good luck comment guys
It was an inguinal hernia I had too and you're right, it is painful. I can walk, but I look like a 90 year old man
I think i'll save myself tonight. Got a bbq and drinks for a mates birthday tomorrow so i'll get out to play then
P.s. GF-91 - You're a cunt!

Guessing they went down the mesh route? Decent incision? Sounds like it went a lot better than mine though They ended up doing a 5/6" incision on me (usually it's 2-3") and after the op it looked like Leatherface had been at it with a clever Luckily the scar isn't too bad and barely noticeable.
Take it easy though

Yeah, mesh. Not had a look at the wound, but I can kinda see it through the dressing. Looks to be about 3.5 - 4" incision.
Not looking forward to my pubes growing back. Gonna be all itchy

I got an inguinal hernia op when I was 16 and i've never felt pain like the two weeks after, literally felt like someone was holding a lighter on the wound. I can remember there was what looked like an internal stitch sticking through the skin randomly as well.
I still get problems with mine 6 years down the line, i've been back and sent for CAT scans and sent to the chronic pain clinic and all sorts- it seems like there's something not quite right.
I bet you really want a walking stick if its anything like mine

Thats me just home from Friday night I've survived surprisingly well.
I actually think just keeping active and getting on with things is the way to do it.
Me and my mate walked up to the local builders merchant when we were drunk, bought 40.5 ft of 3x2" wood and we built our own jumbo Jenga! So much fun.
