1M, absolutely mint Corsa GSi C20LET (white of course) and I'd have a KTM EXC 450 as well.

My boss earns just under the top bracket and he drives a V8 Vantage and a BMW X5.

I would probably go for something like a 997 Carrera 4S or 997 Turbo.

Probably choose to have many cheaper cars rather than 1 hugely expensive one.

Agreed. Most of the time by half wits that seem to think they are earning 150k a year

I would have an Exige probably if I already had a diesel for everyday.

100k a year isnt really that much these days though

Remember you'd "hypothetically" have other commitments too.... house, living, hols, wife/gf? etc.

To simply find 50-150k to buy a car (some of the cars mentioned above) without finance is laughable.

You would need to save for years to get the lump sum.

OR

You'd need to have been earning that amount for a while.

So.... finance would be needed in this "hypothetical" situation.

I'm with Adam. 100k isn't as much as you would think. Especially after tax. You would be insane to buy one outright tbh you'd see a huge lump of it evaporate instantly. Also once you are earning £100k p/a you wont have to boast about owning it outright to anyone as your new friends won't care.

i've already got a car i love, so would probably spend the money on that, wouldn't mind fitting an audi quattro bodykit to it somehow and then an r32 twin turbo engine and get a full respray

To the majority of the population anyway.

I know exactly why AK says that tho, as it's the circuit he rolls in with contractors earning stupid amount an hour, etc. It's the same here.

Exactly. You might not he poor by a long shot, but you aren't exactly able to afford a Lamborghini Aventador outright on finance as would be about £3k a month! Plus on that kind of money you will want to invest some of your hard earned so property is the key.

at 100k annual salary not being a lot. Get over yourselves.

OK fair enough, probably not quite enough to go and buy some of the cars mentioned, but it's hardly a figure to be sniffed at.
