Once, I overtook a Police car on the motorway (sweat dripping from brow) and then the fucker went full on pursuit...
flashing lights behind me!! I shat myself and pulled into the inside lane only to see him speeding off to catch a rapist or something.

infact the officer even said that hes not going to prosecute me for going 80mph, so i was left thinking, why are we standing here then
then he said it showed a lack of respect

i'd love to see a 70mph tailback.
I'm not even going to continue here since i'm clearly dealing with mental bastards. Maybe the police down south are soft as shite but if I went past a marked traffic car doing 50 in a 50, at 55, I would put my car on getting a pull for the speed I was going.
Here's one for you - you'd quite happily overtake an average motorist on a b road blast but what if the car you wanted to pass was a police car on a very straight bit of road, doing 60 in a 60?

im not talking about normal a and b roads im talking about motorways, where most (inlcuding police) are doing 80mph+
clearly i know when is taking the piss and when is not, and that is not

Overtaking a police car at anything over the speed limit makes you a complete idiot.
Unless your intention is to get pulled of course, in which case it's an excellent way of doing it.
You should have known better Steve.

Police car sat at 70 on the motorway with all the mongs sat behind not daring to go past I would go past at 75 and not get pulled. Never have done yet.
Any other road or speed limit I wouldn't go past.

Agree about people being scared to overtake them even when they sit at 50 though.

Yes nik, pretty much. It looks like we're either surrounded by people who are just too mental to care, or people who just want to do it because they've read on the internet it's ok. I'm going with the latter

I believe the standard test to prove you are a man is to overtake a police officer on the motorway.

I know that. But some over-read more than others.
So how do you know what is a true 70mph without a GPS device or the likes??

so basically if we had a police officer on a bike, in the inside lane doing 70mph, all the traffic would stay behind and the whole motorway procession should be headed by one guy on his bike
get a grip

i think if people think driving at 80mph on a motorway is unnacceptable, even to police they should drive on them more often and see whats going on around them, that includes police also

Ive also been told by an officer if conditions are good they woulkdnt even consider pulling someone for 80 in a 70 or 70 in a 60.
However, he objected to my 120mph though
