i think some of the prices people pay when there new to driving or whatever is shocking, insurance company's are just professional crooks. iv never paid over 1000 but i was 19 when i passed and went on someone else's insurance at first.
now pay £600 at the age of 23 on a 1.6sport and have 3 points

i cant understand how they charge over a grand to insure a car that isnt worth a grand, no offence meant by that though. just seems daft imo

because if you hit a car thats worth a £80,000 then its not important whether your cars worth £50 or £1,000

I pay 2.5k for a corsa club with one claim. no ncb
However if have two named drivers on a policy an astra coupe 1.8 is only 1900 to insure??? Not that I'm complaining

I renewed in March
21, 4 years no claims, 19 year old gf as a named driver, and they are aware of mods - £563.31
I'd assume it will go down again in March, I don't intend to pay any more either so will go hunting

Just got my quote through today, £20 down on last year, hoping to get it a bit cheaper and add the missus on as a named driver.
Trying to find quotes on Golf and few other cars, as hopefully changing soon.

Just rang insurance, added missus and another £50 off!
Still expensive 25 / 6 NCB / No points or accidents.
£350 to insure a diesel golf, TT was £450 two years ago.

what's changed in the last year for you? crashes or points?
And how much are you paying
nothing. ive got no points, no crashes. 6 years no claims. was paying £550 last year. paying £1k this year.
Mine went from £450(ish) to £800; 10 years NCD, 1 non-fault accident 18months ago, no points, bans, medical problems etc etc etc. Could not get it any cheaper at all
