If its got volaitle memory for the error-codes just re-wire it so the pump/ECU has a 12v ignition feed not permenant live then everytime you turn it off it will reset and wont come back on until you are heavy on the stop pedal, shouldnt be an issue during the MOT.

....And... If it does come on during the brake test just say "hey the rear wheels arent turning what do you expect!"

...Also a bias valve will probably fix the whole problem! Your bigger calipers will require more fluid to opperate and the rears will lock up before the front are working efficiently.

iv given them a beasting and doesnt seem to be an issue in fact i think the brakes are fantastic, just the abs plays up at low speeds.

the pistons are matched to oem sizes anyway just 6 smaller ones rather then one big one.

saying that, thats matched to standard st170 brakes lol not puma ones but i believe the st170 uses the same master cylinder. Didnt seem to get any noticable travel after anyway

with regards to your previous point does the mot require any sort of driving over 12mph as the abs performs a self test then and throws up a light if fault

wont necessarily pass that way the mot tester will have access to the exact sequence and the abs light is different, stays on longer, so potentially a fail, but nice idea

Tbh is it really worth all the hassle??

Can't you just buy brakes that work properly at all speeds??

In what way is the abs playing up at low speeds??

pump starts to spazz eg clicking on and off really quick, think when it does it the brakes arent actually working as well either like the abs is flicking them on/off quick, which its probably is actually doing.

do you really think any mot tester will go as far as to time how long your dash warning lights stay on? they'll flick they key, check they all come on and go off and be done with it.

Because I can't remove all the system, the fittings from the master cylinder to the pump are weird sizes that I can't find bits for to t piece them hence the pump has to stay atm

possibly, pedal box and aftermarket master cylinder is the way to go in future but for now just after a temporary fix for decent results in near future track days

Indeed I did, can't remember the shopping list for bits right now but it was all available at the local motor factor, I'll dig out the receipts.

And in respect of the original question, the two solutions are -

1. wire it in parallel with another light that does roughly what you want it to - it'll be close enough for a pass

2. wire a monostable 555 from one of the other lights.

the racing puma has 4 pot calipers and still has abs so maybe it has slightly different abs ecu programming

but also has rear discs
