If you want to get rid of it then just do it. Doesn't matter what a forum thinks tbh.
I know, but its pretty costly, and wondering if anybody here has had anything done, was it worth it etc. Fuck asking Yahoo answers, CS knows everything.
How much we talking?

My dad had the exact same scare as you, but after a few years it has practically disappeared.

Think there's laser surgery etc that can reduce them.
There's some oil that woman put on stretch marks after labour that reduces thier apperance that could do the job. Worth a try.
I'll ask our lass, she'll know....

I've got a scar on my chin that I hate. It's not so much the scar, its the excess scar tissue. Its all lumpy. I hate it. Be interested to know how much it costs to have surgery done.

Alex I have a scar about a couple of inches long on the corner of my forehead where somebody hit me with a cricket bat at school when I was about 7 or 8 (deliberately).
You can potentially hide your scar with a beard/clothing etc. I have to keep my hair slightly long to hide it.
Let me know what you go for as I'd be interested to know.

Yeah. I've got a keloid scar from it which is basically where your body produces too much scar tissue so it sort of bubbles out, looks like a right mess
I wouldn't mind having a normal scar, its the excess tissue I want gone. But obviously if they were to just cut it off it'd probably do the same again as it heals. Going to have steroid injections next to see if that can reduce it. The hospital are useless about it all though, really pissing me off.

Op wasnt that long ago though so should fade alot more in time, one on my hand has taken about 6 years to get to the point where you can hardly see it.

As said it will fade more and wont be as noticable. I broke my leg when i was 15 and have a scar down my leg where the bone came out and they operated on it. Also have 4 smaller scars near my knee where they fitted and removed the pins i had in my leg. 5 years later and you can hardly see them now.
