Don't sit with your foot on the brakes with v hot discs eg at s junction after using heavy braking
yeh i try and never leave handbrake on, always try to roll towards lights rather than stopping etc. im careful but its still happened
[Edited on 30-08-2011 by xa0s]
Roll towards light? yet you go through more pads than a girl on menstruation.

I would also like to know which track you can get to 140mph on!
In my Redline feature the hybrid one (running same spec as Luke's Fabia) got to 130mph after about 2-2.5miles.

Like shite it was a track, it was a 'private' motorway at silly hours in the morning when he had a space saver wheel on.

Was that a standing start??
If not then that dosn't sound all that impressive.
Not with the way you seem to big them up anyway.

By the time a cast iron brake disc is up to a temperature hot enough to consider bending it, it will be starting to melt.

with out looking in to it, most metals will dis-form at fair bit lower temp than they melt

Cast iron is brittle, it will crack or shatter b4 it bends.
