Are you honestly trying to say that Irn Bru causes cancer? If so you're an even bigger pleb than these Eurocrats.
It's a stupid idea and baffles me that these people feel the need to meddle in stuff like this, is there honestly nothing more important for them to be dealing with? How about the fact that about 5 countries are subsidising the rest of the EU?

Davey could subsidise the EU as long as he didn't have to go to Jury Duty for 2 weeks.

Can't see Irn Bru on either of those lists, therefore I declare it fit for consumption

You're not Scottish, so it's not really something you'd be concerned about. But if they changed my drink, I'd be the very first to start the Scottish riots. It's been proven that the levels of the additive would cause no harm.
Tbh, a different colour would probably balance out my insides, which are more than likely orange from the 3/4 litres of the stuff I drink a day

no carl, there are obviously plenty of scientists on here that think it won't harm you at all.
we all know that coke/irn bru/any other fizzy drink isn't that good for us and if they can make the drink better for you without compromising the taste then i don't see the big deal.

Exactly and the thing is we know its not the best drinking all this crap but a large percentage of the population don't. I work in deprived areas of Barnsley and i'm always seeing young kids (full families even) drinking energy drinks etc, we end up footing the bill for their healthcare in the long run.

Would be easy that. Think of the amount of lives saved if smoking and alcohol was banned. They wont do it though because they earn money from it.

you wouldn't know the difference if you had coke, coke zero and diet coke all line up in unlabelled bottled.
it's all in the mind.

What a load of bullshit, diet, zero and anything else taste completely different to Coca-Cola normal, give me Pepsi and Coke, and any permeatation of the ones with stuff removed and i'll tell you which is which. Could probably even do it by smell

it isn't bullshit. your mind sub-consciencly (sp) reads the label and knows what to expect. if it didn't have a label and you had a few to choose from, you wouldn't know the difference.
mayb you have hyper sensitive taste buds.

It tastes completely different; I would test it myself and film it, but that would mean having to buy shit tasting diet and no sugar stuff

i love coke zero and prefer diet coke to regular coke.
used to drink loads of coke but my dentist tol me the sugar was doing my teeth no good so i went to diet.
didnt take to it straight away but now i cant stand regular coke, its ridiculously sweet and makes my mouth feel furry. if i order coke zero/diet in mcdonals and get regular i can instantly tell from the first sip.
related to the topis, i wouldnt care if coke changed colour as long as it tasted the same

I feel less guilty drinking Zero too, I drink normal Coke and can hear my dentist in my head having a go at me
