Did you lock your doors driving through Britwell?
I once helped someone do some filming on Lynch hill. I was scared shitless with an expensive camera and equipment on me

I cycled my push bike from Stoke Poges to Burnham once as a kid. When I went through Britwell I had two older kids come and cycle along next to me,
They said 'Hey, what you doing with my mates bike?'.
I said 'Erm, this is my bike' (I was probably only about 12)
They said 'nah, that's our mate's bike, we're going to take it back'.
I just changed up to 18th gear and then pedalled fast, they pursued but I lost them in the twisties.
I've avoided Britwell ever since.

ANy links to DC2's with a supercharger fitted? Might be some cheap fun

i thought scoobies were more for low down acceleration and not top end acceleration.
i.e: accelerating to 80mph is alot faster than most cars, 80mph onwards = not so much

Mine will prob do 0-60 in under 4 secs.... but it does get a bit laxy in 5th at 110mph.... thats just the long final gear though
1-4th is very close/tight, upto 108mph
5th goes alllllll the way to 150+
BUT a run of the mill Impreza wouldnt run out of puff at 80+ - esp against an NA Integra...
Compare it to a RB series GTR or Supra then YES... it may get the jump to 80 or so then the others will start to stretch their longer legs.

But with 370bhp on tap it will still pull hard.

was a newer shaped one, looked nice it did, his fucking gears went on forever
DC5 gear ratios aren't that long
How much power is your Impreza running?
I can only assume it was the revs going on to eternity that made it seem that way
Contrary to what's been said in this thread, vtec cars really aren't easily turbocharged, reliably. The fact it was smokey just means IRS a Honda barnshaw, most do it I can hazard a guess that it was supercharged. Obviously turbocharged is still a possibility but why someone would ruin such a fine car with a high powered turbo engine is beyond me.

A super/turbocharged DC5 should be pushing @ least 300bhp with LSD etc.. so wouldn't have thought there would be much in it with yours having the extra weight & 4WD!

My DC5 is 225bhp, and I've had a few blasts against my mates Evo 8 which is 350bhp. Up until 100mph+ there's not a great deal in it.
Awaits "mates car's broke" and "you mate wasn't trying" comments etc.

Can fully believe that. CTR's aren't THAT far behind me until 90ish then I leave them. The extra power really helps when getting to heavy wind speeds!

It would be, up until about 110ish. *not that I've had a race against a similar spec'd, 235bhp black one from around here*

It should have gained a bhp or two from the Skunk2 inlet so I fully expect it to now be at 280. But I'll be going to get the map tweaked to suit in a couple of weeks. Then I'm on the charge for 300
