Dava - dunno.... dunno. My car might be better suited (in a lower class)

Adam - yup - it does get cleaned (sometimes) but it was pissing with rain in the morning, she's been offroading etc... and the rear soots up as it was overfueling like a mofo

Looking good, how did she find the experience compared to TA?

That Leon is a SuperCopa car, so built by Seat in that spec (chassis wise anyway) in the factory in Spain by SeatSport. Full cage, different bodywork, etc

She seemed quite nervous at first but by the 2nd race seemed to be getting in amongst the action.

She needs to be more commited to overtakes etc - i.e I think she is too used to trackday etiquite

He best lap time was about 3 secs slower than what she can do..... but its a good result all round and got it out the way.

Must have been pretty wild in that first race greasy wet track, very RWD biased gtr and a lot of torque some big moments in that vid. The slide exiting clarks was a bit :O

I think the whole overtaking part is a massive thing to learn, more so from doing so many trackdays and TA

trying to tame the rear end was losing a lot of time too... she had the straight line speed but couldnt use it to full advantage because she was slow out of the hairpin!

My mates Evo was the same, even in a straight line the rear would twitch. Its all about the setup imo.

the setup of what?

the 4wd system or susp/geo? I think our susp/geo isnt a million miles away - the car is pretty stable everywhere else on track apart from slow speed corner exits. The race 1 is just Fee being a bit crazy in my opinion Soaking wet and she's using kerbs flat out in 2nd/3rd

I think its the rear diff in our GTR thats making it very tail happy - paired with worn clutch plates in the transfer box.

GTR is AWD, RWD till it needs 4wd (on straights as standard)

All of it tbh, suspension, transmition, tyres. A bloke i know that races was saying how for different tracks he uses tyres with different amount of wear on the rear to the front, also the pressures etc. He says his car performs best with tyres that are close to worn out on the rear but brand new on the front. In the dry obviously.

I thought Evo's were more front too tbh, maybe the yaw control was buggered.

yup - i'm aware that tyre pressure etc can play a big part.

The GTR was running 9" wheels (255 section) all round. The rear track is 25mm wider each side (50mm total) - but this isnt new for this year so i'm not going to consider it a factor in the handling problem.

Diff.... 90% sure its the cause.

that might sound a bit arsey but its not meant to be (just incase the CS goons take offence).... your pointing out fine tuning things.... this is a very clear/big issue

Wild oversteer on slow speed tight corner exits

No offence taken, i wasnt trying to tell your you're doing something wrong as you say, i would say its the diff, there's surely only a certain amount that the front can do to recover? I dont know how it works on the skyline. Does it add more power to the front the more the rear slips or does it just detect some slip then add x amount to the front? Can it be adjusted?

as standard an R32/33/34 with ATTESA (pro) will act like a RWD car on corners and AWD when losing traction on the straights.

The GTRs have G Sensors (3 accelerometers) to detect sideways, forwards and backwards movement. As standard the car reduces the torque to front when its lost traction and cornering It increases power to the front when traction is lost and going in a straight line. VERY RWD biased.... thats why i'm always sniggering at folk when they they GTR's drive themselves!

We have added a torque split contoller to trick the ATTESA control unit into thinking its going straight when cornering

If the car was RWD only (i.e the 4wd wasnt working) she wouldnt be able to get up the straights like a scalded cat Straight line that car has brillant traction

... it just feels like the rear diff is locking the rear axle waaaay to early and causing massive oversteer

Both the scoobys I seen sufferd massive understeer coming out the hairpin. Are you planning in racing it next year if so what class would you fit into?
