Toyota Yaris. Shell's T Sport has never put a foot wrong (outwith things being her fault), gets a steady 40mpg, and you'd actually really enjoy to drive it. I fucking loved hooning it around Not expensive insurance wise either, but £115 per 6 month tax iirc.
Edit: Oh, and she's owned it for 3 years, so I'd say it's reliable!!
