A job is a job at the end of the day, if people are out of work and want work they will take anything on offer. I don't see the big deal?

jobs a job to me. have more respect for some poor sod in a shop getting minimum wage than some pikey fuck on the dole.

i've been on minimum wage at 16 so know how it feels, but its a good start to working your way up in the company.

I dont think that was the point of the thread but i agree.

theres a guy round here sweeping streets even though hes a qualified engineer as it was the only job he could get at the time.

Mucho respecto for that guy.

Fair play to those out there trying to get a job but I wonder how many were sent there by the job centre and had no intention of actually getting a job.

Council bin man, no. Private binman, biffa etc yes. Mate does it. Long hours but a really good wage.

You do realise that you're entitled to anything the dole offer you, whether that be job seekers or sick pay, or even tax credits. You pay enough in so why not take some back when and if you really need to?

every person i know on the dole takes the piss with it. pretending to do job interviews to the best of their abilities, saying they are single parent when they're not etc.

ruins it for the genuine claimants.

i agree with being on the dole if you can't work or are desperately trying to get a job and i'd be the first to go on it if i had to.

im a qualified level 2 mechanic, know its not a great deal but what the hey.

iv offered to work for no wage in all the local garages just to have something better on my cv but they all say the same things. ether 3 ramps 3 lads or we cant de that for insurance purposes.

iv only just started working as and when up a unit for stock cars (friend of the family) and i love it. dont get paid but id rather be there than at asda earning 6.50 an hour lol.
im only at asda cos i dont want to be on the dole, im hoping i get something through the stock cars/welding. asda is a crap place to work, even on a managers wage wich is only a couple of p better off an hour
