I like them, looked at a number of them though and every single one was a dog.

I'd take that into consideration when looking for one.

I've always liked them since my parents had one for a while as a "toy" they had the 225 1.8T. Drove it a couple of times and loved it.

Far more gay cars out there than those imo.

GF has the baby 150 roadster, tbh nice car to drive in general, interior is funky!

Watch out for 'dashpod' failures, coilpack issues and rear springs snapping

Can see my A3 sneaking into this pic!

How on earth can you call a Leon better looking? Its a 5door hatch with big bumpers. The TT was an auto industry game changer!

The Leon is an ugly car. Get one Ben, I think you have the right look about it, I can imagine you on the only way is essex.

My mate had a Quattro 225, remapped to 260, was no slouch.

my tt was really nothing like my golf in terms of build or quality, mine was a 225 quattro and i was rapid imo... as fast as a focus st easily in standard form

windows anoyed me as they are too small to hang out of and shout things

I like them, however, I hate driving them as there's a little bit of plastic under the clutch foot which does my head in!

The last one I drove was a 3.2 in purple with the sport bodykit and it was absolutely lovely.

I'd have one, but I'd have to sort that bit of plastic out!

I like the 225, v6 and 240 sport versions.

Leon Cupra R is a sexy car though. It's hard for me to choose my next car because I don't want something uglier.

Was looking at these to replace the mini but couldn't get any with a decent milage in my budget, lovely cars still imo and dont look too dated considering the design is circa 10 years old.

Hi mate!

I've currently got a TT Coupe 225, had is for just over 3 years and it's been almost faultless during that time (had to get the dash pod replaced under warranty).

Very stable, reliable, not too bad on petrol, shifts when you want it to, big enough to put stuff in the boot. My insurance is £470 FC per anum.

Recommend one highly! I'm selling mine as it happens as would like another S2000 and something a bit more raw! Thread should be in the sales section

Hope that helps!

Jambo and graham will hang you by your thumb nails for saying that.

The tt is just a squashed down beetle IMO
