Chris - Be getting an SFS enlarged silicone TIP next for definate, after that i'll be saving my cash to get the bodywork tidied up.
Alsohave spare wishbones in my toolbox, changed them at work as the bushes were fucked, they were going to get flung out so hung onto them with the intention of getting them powdercoated & polybushed.
It was advertised for offers in the region of £3000.
I swapped my Ph.1 172 & cash, in retrospect to what the Clio cost and how much cash i put to the deal it cost me less than 2/3rds of the asking price.
Andy - Not as yet, havent had the opportunity, mainly just going to work and back and the odd blast about town.

Archie, theres a guy on seatcupra.net that makes large TIP's, not sure if its going to be any cheaper than the SFS one but worth a look!
Have you read up on N249 bypass?
/edit - Didn't mean to put N75 - too much geek'ing up on N75 valves at the time!

Not keen on bypasses to be honest as i've known people to have problems and EML's after bypassing.

bypass worked great on mine... easy too if you leave the plugs in you wont get em light.
im still baffled as to how a larger tip will increase flow when the turbo is a bottle neck?

I did the N249 bypass, followed this guide.
Can't notice any difference apart from when you do change gear the "dump" is much shorter.

I need to get some of those shims. Looks quite straight forward to do as well. What did you space the Calliper carrier with?

Might feel like it makes no difference but it will provide better air flow, larger or not.

It still increases the air flow hence more power and torque.

Had a look at the bypass's you can do when i got the car and tbh i'm not really keen on doing them.
Rather just leave it as intended.
