What do you mean by it needs a box? Ask him how much he wants for the g60 steelies plus I'd give him my steelies in return if he needs some wheels!

already text danny but for the benefit of anyone else interested in duffys lupo its got new coilovers, about 6 month MOT, 3 owners including him, 113k, 1.4 16v with immaculate body and ran mint until the gb K.0'd
says 500 but hes open to offers.
i can vouch the car is mint apart from the gearbox. he proper loved it

and it needs a new gearbox as its fell to bits inside he thinks... first he lost 5th then 3rd.... then it just wouldn't get a gear


also : they not g60's, can see why people think they are but they are just 14" vw steels with a plastic click on dish/lip. look mint and possibly rare, i dunno my dubs

Aye needs a new box then. 395 for decent refurb one, then need clutch too.

Common problem. If he'd parked up when it started making a noise or lost its first gear it might have been ok to swaP the bearing. Fucked now.

Got £300 here. He can fit std suspenders back to it if he wants. Needs £400 worth of parts min then labour to fit it all.

Says he will get back to me. Though the car needs timing belt done as overdue. And it wont tick over cold so get a few issues.

Aye he said that. And he'd been told the tb would need cleaned out. But a tb doesnt block up from standing for a few month.

mine did on the corsa, and wd40 did it even worse... carb cleaner is the fella cos wd attracts the crap over a few weeks
best off going to view the car mate. i seen it a few times and can vouch it was his pride and joy and well looked after but cant say i had my head under the bonnet for long though... dint wanna gan say its a minter and it turn out to be a nail for you

Lupos are pretty easy to work on like shame about the box giving up sounds like an orite motor, if you get it and need parts gove me a shout as i work for vw

Genuine belt for a 16v is around 100 and 100+ for a clutch
