Wait until one of the chavs gets killed. Then their "tragic" death will be all over the papers and a huge memorial cruise will be held.

Nobody realising that if they hadn't been acting like a twat in the first place they'd be alive still.

I'm in the street racing scene and honestly it's mainly the money side I think. They don't want to pay for a track day unless their car is perfect, and they can't make sure they have decent tyres, brakes, fuel and so on as well as spending £220 for a day on track so they sooner spend a tank of fuel street racing.

They could car share for £50 per head, I think there's more to it than cash.

Think they're probably a bit lazy an non-committal as well, sounds like hassle to have to sign up and faff when you could just rock up there and you're on.

Shame really because they obviously like driving fast and they'd be faster still if they did it properly.

Looks cooler to 13 year old girls when you're doing it around an industrial estate though

I just think they probably wouldn't go for being organised and told which side to overtake.

As long as they are doing it on quite industrial estates and not outside my house / schools etc then fair play.

Do people in the street racing scene partake and think they've won some sort of race? Is there a podium for winners and runners up etc

I used to go up there when i was 17, the place was crazy back then. seen plenty of crashes due to lack of experience mixed with high speed. police used to block it off though so everybody got searched, its shit now!

It's not ideal but back in my day that's how everyone used to drive through Cheltenham / weston town center on a Sunday evening, it was mental. I guess the popo have pushed them out to more isolated places now which I sopose isn't a bad thing
