Look at the state of this shoddy roof...


Anyway..lol New roof on, cage finished and car being resprayed white..


Just need to get the modified dash flocked and then it will be at Castle Combe on the 28th..

What actually happened to the roof then?

Also, are you going to keep the carbon fibre panel over the sunroof or does the new roof not have a sunroof?

The roof was cut off for 2 reasons.

1. To aid welding of the rollcage.
2. So it could be replaced with a non sunroof one.

No need for the carbon panel now.

Was the roof hard to do or simply a case of drilling out the old welds and spot welding the new one on?

Patience and being careful are key, but yes, drill out the spots, pry off the old skin, refit and weld.

A day out at LLandow Circuit in Wales today for Freddy and the Corsa and I went along to be a spectator.
A very wet morning (well it is Wales..lol) followed by an overcast afternoon but some good fun was had, great venue and good for the money at £80 for the day. Some very good consistent laps were had..

New EBC redstuff pads fitted as the other pads were down to the metal after the trackday....Then on the test drive the diff went...ooops...

Anyway, replacement box found and will be fitted shortly.
