Better how? It depends what you want in a tablet. None of them are the same, they all offer something different.

Went to buy a laptop for the missus and ending up just buying an iPad at the same time  .

Had a quick look at the Air, I never realised it was that thin 
Can see why that appeals to people, it's very 'look at me whilst I sit in Starbucks'.
