Way way way too early to be making comments like that imo. No one here has a clue about what he was/wasnt going through. I don't think any of us can possibly imagine how a man who seemed to be living his dream in football has come to the decision to end his own life. I'm sure we will all hear a lot in the future about what might have caused him to come to that decision but we will never truly know, gee taken that to the grave with him.

I don't think now is the time to be calling anyone selfish, more a time to remember what was a quality footballer and a promising young manager

heard some people talking about it at the england wales match and thought it odd at the time... this now seems especially weird - has a young family, from what michael owen said he saw him with his young son seeming ok and family not said owt about marriage issues altho guess as jonny said, have to wait and see what comes outs

My head is actually refusing to comprehend this. Yesterday, fucking yesterday, I was watching him on the TV and he was perfectly fine. Chatting away about the upcoming Wales fixtures etc...

Properly unbelievable.

Yep, but then that's how people tend to be when they have decided to end it, they aren't going to act all depressed and drop hints to friends and family members because obviously they'd try to stop him.

I was just about to ask, what was he like on FF? Can't believe he was on the show like that yesterday, and just hours after he commits suicide.

You can look at it differently, as some have said, christmas soon and he commits suicide, but he must of had some horrible demons going on, or so you would think.

You just obviously wonder what made him do it, something must of gone off in his mind. To leave your two sons, wife, family, everything, just awful.

But surely it isn't something that's kinda planned? Surely something ticks off in your mind, or perhaps I'm wrong. I guess if he was alone in his house or something, then perhaps that would be telling.

I guess it's hard to speculate when not knowing certain facts.

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. We'll probably never know, unless he's left a note.

I've only ever seen him speak at length on shows like FF but he seemed perfectly fine. He was talking about things in the future which is something generally not expected from someone that is 'suicidal'.

The fact the initial press release stated there were no suspicious circumstances would lad you to believe there was a suicide not though.
