You got me wrong.
The manufacturers don't necessarily put it in for MPG reasons, but for emissions to keep the road tax low.
Same with stop start. Yes it reduces fuel consumption, but it's done to keep emissions lower.

Yeah, because the stop star and gear change indicator played a part in the test.
I read the story of a 'Hybrid' Porsche which had a battery and petrol engine like a Prius. Except the battery was only powerful enough to get it through the majority of the emissions test, meaning it scored low and gave good MPG results.
But in the real world, the battery would never come into play.

I bought my new car with a few to getting decent mpg... that didn't last long mind you I was impressed to get 50mpg on a run averaging about 75mph the other day and that was with quite a few pedal to the metal overtakes.

Generally get around 200 Miles and 19/20.something MPG
Fuck economy.

What BMW is it Mr MSport & MSport??
My sister has a 118d i took to Liverpool and back, and a bit of pottering, did about 240 miles in total, it averaged 59.9mpg on the motorway, then when driving round town dropped to about 57.5mpg

I get cracking MPG from my fucked old octavia, full car every day to work, gets 500 miles to a tank without fail, sitting at 80mph most of the time. Works out around 55mpg.

I'm doing a short commute to work now so car is hammering fuel. Just calculated it to be 19mpg this week. Pretty poor from a 2.0 turbo!
