How do Taxpayers pay JC's wages?
Not to mention that the majority of his income will be from private sources anyway, Bedder6 which he owns 30% of iirc plus book and DVD sales along with Personal Appearance fees.

His BBC pay will be through the License fee - not Taxpayers

Even then it isn't all from the license fee as a lot of his pay will derive from BBC Worldwide.

not really a tax though; You could quite legitimately have a non-tax payer who needs a TV License

Or a tax payer who doesn't need a TV license.

If you're counting BBC worldwide funds, that's not coming from the UK tax payer either, that money comes from the sale of the shows he is in to other countries.

Basically, the UK tax payer doesn't pay his wages, unless they own a TV, in which case it's their own fault.

Clarkson is basically a god to people who are a bit simple. I couldn't care less what he says - its not as if anyone takes him seriously anymore. Criticising the public sector strike while he has become a millionaire from public money shows how dim he is. What does he actually do to help Britain? He seems to have lots to say .... apart from cheating on his wife and behaving like a cnut everytime he is on tv I dont really see what he does to deserve his massive salary.

Couldn't have written this better myself.
His still a 12 year old child inside, just says things for the attention, bit too big for his boots now but yes like you say the simpletons bloody love him, his amazing to people who don't have the ability to think for themself.

He is such a Thatcheresque Britain 'fuck everyone I'm doing well' type. Even behind the acting

John Prescott, the former deputy Prime Minister, added: "I know Jeremy Clarkson likes winding people up but it's worth pointing out he gets £1m a year from the license fee/public sector".

Fucking lol - The License Fee is nothing at all to do with the Public Sector. The two are in noway connected. I would imagine (as aforementioned) that Top Gear as a format is one of the few shows made/produced by the BBC which actually produces an income which covers not only covers its outgoings and the wages of the presenters but actually generates a profit which is ploughed back in to the BBC to fund the next series of Doctors or whatever the Students/Dole dossers are watching these days

I was making the point that there are numerous non-profit making shows on the BBC. I would imagine that the Clarkson influence on both Top gear and some of his more insightful programmes essentially nets the BBC profit and as such the wage he receives is justifiable, unlike those fo say Jonathon Ross when he had his own show which I would imagine didn't really bring in revenue from overseas sales but was still paid ridiculous sums (£8million P.A. iirc)

Love that, especially when its the most mundane thing, like a shirt button. Stuff you take for granted and is just there.

He'll be sacked for this, now that some thrill feminist bitch has mouthed off about wanting him gone.

It'll be all over the papers for a few weeks until they sack him.

Shame, I like Clarkson

won't be sacked - too valuable an asset for BBC unlike Jonathon Ross who didn't bring in enough revenue.
