I can only go off of what my 1.0 Corsa B was like, but that was awfully slow. Was ok up to 30mph because of how it's geared, but after that it was just useless.

But it's designed to be a city runabout not a motorway cruiser I love driving the 1.0's, they're actually challenging to drive which I do like in a car.

I don't think 17 secs is bad for a D considering its a lot heavier than a B which takes 16secs to 60?

Not really, she wanted an economical car with cheap monthly payments

I think you lot are quick to dismiss the fact that some folk dont give a fuck about cars as long as it goes A to B cheap as possible!!

Can't grumble with £159 a month. She probably won't even know what size the engine is, my missus doesn't. All they want is something that is reliable, goes when you press the accelerator and stops when you press the brake.

All 1.0 engines since the Corsa B have been 12v. It may not really take half an hour, but it certainly feels like it

@ a Corsa being dangerously slow. I don't know how fast our 90bhp Transit gets to 60 but when it's loaded to 3.5t with a tonne and half of trailer on the back, I'm pretty sure you'll be looking at a fair bit more than 30 seconds to 60 and I've never found that to be dangerously slow.

You think you're the king of the road since you upgraded to a 1.8

My car is 1.8 seconds slower to 60 than your na 1.8, yet had the economy of a small engine, plus with a remap it'd be 130bhp Vs your 123bhp standard?

OJC used the word dangerous, tbh a 1L corsa's nowhere as dangerous as living in an English council slum with a single mum.
