It just booted itself up, could access my apps for a second then it went off again - battery picture again...

I'll nick a spare battery from somebody at work tomorrow if this continues all night and see what happens.

I wouldn't have plugged it in TBH, give it more chance to dry out, if you put current through it whilst it's still wet inside you could short it out and do more damage.

leave the battery out for a couple of days, leave it in a dry place. battery could well be fucked but stop trying to turn it on

Just found out that my Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Account has got mobile phone insurance included!

Missus put her iphone 4 in the wash.

Took phone apart and wrapped up in desicant for 2 weeks.

Then got a wooden tooth pick and scrapped away the surface corrosion.

£5 for a new battery and it fired up.

But the call sensor corroded to much and snapped off so phone was working fine just stuck on back light.

New iphone under warrenty.

Oh... forgot about this thread.

The phone came back to life! I took it apart, unplugged all of the ribbon cables and gave them a scrub with a toothbrush. There was a bit of residue which came off, and it's been fine ever since!
